It's that small cottage
Up up the hill admist the cedars
But adrift again

राह वो अकेली है जिसमें वो चलती है
कहती तो नही पर शायद वो डरती है
हर शाम वहीं एक साया पीछा करता है
करता कुछ नहीं फिर भी दिल डरता है
वैसे वो दूरी कदमों की कभी घटाता नहीं
और अक्सर नजरें भी उससे हटाता नहीं
कभी गलत इरादे जैसा कुछ देख नहीं पाती
पर कभी शक की वो सुई भी नहीं हटाती
वैसे तो उसने कभी हदें पार नहीं की
पर चाहा तो भी उसने बात भी नहीं की
कभी तो सोचती है पूछ ही ले कौन है वो
गलत नहीं है गर तो रहता क्यू मौन है वो
पर शायद
गलती लड़के की नही है
लड़की को ही बचपन के वो वादे याद नहीं है
लड़के ने कहा था जिनमें
जिंदगी में कुछ भी उस लड़की के बाद नहीं है
गुजर गया है जिस्म भले
पर रूह उसकी आज भी उसी के साथ है
तभी तो महफूज है वो उस राह पर
जैसे उसके उपर किसी फरिश्ते का हाथ है
