But we find little to spark one

WHIP NO MORE
When the whip comes lashing
With the peace in me gently vanishing,
I look up in hope.

Only to be faced by the reality
That the pain is not in the sensation
But in the hands heavily flinging!

Every strike brings memories,
Of the rumpled and bloodstained bedspreads!
And of the broken hearts, confidence and faces.

This drippings are not blood
As you see them to be,
Rather they are songs of vengeance!
Curse will slay the wicked!

But the wicked knows and as he strikes-
He screams 'weep no more'
With the little life left, I muttered in a whisper
'Whip no more'
Just tell me you did it,
Don't take praises for your 'villianity.'

My death is not in the strokes or the lashes
It is in the hypocrisy that hides it!
