A traveler in a strange land,
Who wished to trek along the sand.
He saw a girl lonely and sad,
Chose to love and asked for her hand.
Little did he know that she was in,
A heartless place which was so bland.
He lifted her up and made her smile,
Loving her hair, caressing every strand,
He played with her and made her laugh,
Forgetting his worries and each errand.
She was also completely besotted,
In him she found someone more than a friend.
His adventurism and her loneliness combined
To make a simple story yet so grand.

You are a traveler with no home
walking on roads that take you nowhere.
Still, there's stillness in you
calling you names to return -
to the alleys and taverns you bid adieu to.
Every dawn and each dusk
you take out your mauve lipstick
marking the lines where boundaries lie
and today, while it is raining and,
the traveler in you is roaming,
you're noticing roads with bare backs,
where once a sweet shop,
a tree and, a temple made them memories.
In stillness that roads hide,
they have taken a different route~
to their graveyards.
Now they succumbed to despair
while their hollow chests carry blood stains.-
