It was her screaming heart!

My pen a weapon,
My book a battle ground.
I'm going to draw out a battle line.
Poetry, my army,
built with battalion of words.
My muse, the commander.
Darling are you up for this war?
Then let's spill ink

I left my yesterday in shackles
bleeding
And I walked to meet tomorrow
yet familiar red trailed my path
I can never truly forget,
but I'll play oblivious.

Remember a thing or two,
about those forgotten.
At least they helped create your past.

The problem was not in believing people ,
It was to tolerate the betrayal that they might do later.

The problem was not making friends,
It was keeping them.

I became familiar with the pain,
always killing tears
with the back of my hands.
I became accustomed to solitude,
always conversing with my subconscious.
Happiness, I have long forgotten about,
Smiling amidst my heart ache.
But then you came along.
In your eyes,
I saw hope.
In your words,
I hear the concealed faith.
Your voice filled with expectations
and never ending willingness.
I feel you,
I feel your optimism.
You're the one that brought hope.
