So, I gave myself a chance,
To rebuild myself from the scratch,
I started gathering all those pieces
That were sprinkled in all those years,
To bind them together in such a way,
That they'll withstand the storms in their wake.

Now I can feel the texture of my skin,
And it's beautiful in its craters.
I can see the color of my heart, it's gray
Where my God resides with my demons
And it's spectacular that way.
The girl in my mirror smiles proudly
For I have embraced her earnestly.
As for my name, I created a whole new identity,
Away from what they gave me,
Somehow I found my home,
By being me unapologetically.

All the while knowing,

Everyone better.

A layer of tissue defines virginity?
Or does it mean when one has not had
sex that will define virginity?
Fairly complicated and interesting,
Man and woman can both be
classified as virgins.
Unfortunately, they are weighed in absolutely unfair ways.
Woman are questioned and ridiculed,
while man are championed if you say!
Amazingly, virginity is always associated with virginal sex, despite other forms of sexual activity being practised.
In short - a layer of skin lost does not equate to dignity lost.

His Princess she was & he became her undisputed King.

Terrible singer he was, yet her goodnight lullabies he used to sing.

He loved her the most and so did she.

It was never you & I for them, it was always a we.

From playing with dolls, to intentionally losing in 'who finishes the glass of milk first' race.

Her brother filled the void of their parent's absence, and eventually took their place.

Writers they are called, but more of an
Artist they are.

After all;

The art of hiding a real pain behind
fictional character's mask,

needs a hell of an Artist,
it's not an easy task.

Here's to:

The voice that never got a guitar or a mic.
The undiscovered roads, yearning for a bike.
The felt, but left unsaid emotions.
The getting lost alone in mountains notion.
The dropping tears under the moon light.
The grave digged out for dreams every night.
The pain of holding on to one sided love.
The agony of dying deep down & yet smiling above.
The cold nights that never got warm arms around.
The urge to disappear and of never being found.
The waves, calling in to drown & take you far.
The same unheard wish on every shooting stars.
The never received forehead kiss.
The part of own self that is terribly missed.

Here's to soul that just needs to be free.
Here's to me, who just wants to be me.
