Sometimes I spend more time with strangers than my friends. I listen to them talk, occasionally nod, and drift away to my own thoughts without them caring, sometimes even noticing. I have understood the beauty of small talks in socializing while hardly socializing. Just nod and smile and you are polite. Be as rude as you want if you are in a mood and they would just label you as crazy and move on. And you get the freedom of choice, of what mask you want to put on, what will be your identity for the night. You can even be as honest as you like, bawl your eyes out and maybe be the creep. The best part though is that they don't try to fix you, they don't care what's broken, they just let you be, an entertainment or an embarrassment. They let you be. If that's not acceptance I don't know what is.
