The sky and I.

I turn around,
see the outline of my modest house,
closed within walls waist high,
with nothing between the sky and I
and I wonder,
if it too lay witness to my entire life.

*The Rooftop*
I met you on the rooftop,
You, a free soul.
I, caged in my own home.
You met me every day,
We were now, companions.
I said you all that I had gone through,
Within the four walls.
In turn, you told me;
How beautiful the outside world was!
The rooftop had now become a place-
Where we exchanged our tales.
I gave you food.
In turn, you sang melancholic songs.
One day, you flew away, farther than I could think.
You left me alone on the rooftop,
You made my heart sink.

Rooftops are always the escape for homes you don’t feel home in. Homes where balconies don’t suffice. Homes where there’s a constant surveillance of someone older, someone with authority eyeing your every action. Rooftops are where you go to play or stargaze as a child, where you sneak out to talk to your first love as an adolescent and where you disappear to catch that relaxing puff as an adult, when home and those at home become too much to accept.

Rooftop is like the most frequented getaway when home gets onto your nerves and you need to unwind. Rooftop is where if you stay for too long, you start to miss home.

"ROOFTOPS AND THE RAINDROPS"

People may live in flats
with marble polish floors
And decorative golden and glass doors
But who can better know
and feel the happiness of a rainy day
Than those people
living in a house with rooftops
or in a bungalow
Where the raindrops fall slow
making it's musical rhythm of tip tap
As each drop falls
on the rooftops high and low.
Falling down on the ground
Soon filling up the low-lying lands
and moistening the soil and sands
Where children enjoy
floating their paper boats and planes
Wetting in the rain
Forgetting all their pain
Replenishing their withered soul
With drops of new hopes
And finally after the rain
The smell of the soil
Refreshes the mind
Removing all the pain and turmoil.

At the time of dusk ,
With a miraculous luck.
It was half past six on clock,
They were sitting on a slant rooftop.
Far away from life's clamour,
Relishing together a sunset's flavour.
Their shadow strikes from skylight,
And were glowing like white topaz.
Mesmerizing twilight turns into memorable night,
For them it was an unexpressible delight.

Cause I hate my past too,
But that pain is past due.

You can either live in the past or
Build up a life we can raise our glass to.

Lady please Don't hold yourself up to other people's standards,
You should know that yours is the only one that matters.

You got so much love in your heart
You should try to give yourself some,
The pain and the wounds you got, you deserve none.

I can see the fire inside you, don't let it fade,
Carry yourself with pride is always i prayed.

night with the Moon..

I want to remind a memories on the Rooftop, a dark outside.
I feel your presence,
U know, how wonderful it feels.
Listen!!
When, I was on the Rooftop.
In this lovely night, I pray to the blue moon,
To protect my thought, the the wind blows way my tress and the stars to guide me the way.
Then
I feel, a angel came to me and asked
What is your wish for tonight.
I said please take care of the person
Who wants me.

Her hairs getting tickled by the wind,
His gentle hands on her waist seizing the skin,
Such close they were to each other,
That no human but only the stars and the crescent moon could have witness the scene.
