I knew I would never be able to reach you
no matter how many boundaries I crossed
within myself the first time I laid my eyes
on you, but I was self-destructive and
wanting you was the only pain allowed
to kill me.

I think it began when I saw you
for the first time and
you were smiling away the reasons
that almost made you cry.
You were calm, but I could see
the tides of the ocean you carry
within rise. There was a storm
inside, yet you were there,
promising that the clouds will break
and the sun will rise.
Finding my solace in you was never
a random escape from the pains--
Familiar with hurricanes I was too;
You and I as a story was written
in the skies.

I love you baby boy,
You are my greatest joy.
You always make me smile,
Even if it’s for a while.
I know with you by my side,
It’s definitely true love.
How can I second guess it,
Your love is sent from up above.
I don’t know how I became your dream girl,
Sometimes I wonder why?

Why do always trips fades everything?
Why do always trips clears everything?

We went away
When the time came to travel
And lately it was all
Inside our head.

-

For the entire year,
I studied hard with a fear.
Till November, everyone was humble,
However, December began with a trouble
Which soon became horrible !!
A day before the new year,
Got a shaking news to hear.
Boards are shifted to May, it declared ,
Something very difficult to be beared !!
Again started from the same day,
Tried to follow a new way.
Covid cases were declining,
Everything was shining !!
Soon offline classes started,
I was prepared to work with open hearted.
2nd preboard commenced,
Made me a bit tensed !!
Everything was alright without any jam,
Until I reached the last exam.
Again got a heart wrenching news ,
For a while, kept me confused !!
It was the month of making fool,
I thought, it's time to stay cool !!
It was a real decision,
Felt like putting in a prison !!
Board exams are cancelled, it said,
It should have been highlighted in red !!
They should have decided for an alter,
I felt like an " OX THAT WAS LED TO SLAUGHTER " !!
Don't know what to say,
Let's hope for another way.

*THOUGHTS UNDER THE MELLOW MOONLIGHT*

As the sun has fallen asleep,
The mischievous moon is all excited to peep.

The moon is now shining Bright in the sky,
The dark clouds in the night are just passing by.

Everything around is so pleasant and calm,
That's when under the moonlit sky I open and stare at my palm.

The serene beauty of this night reminds me of you,
Which made me realise how rapidly time just flew.

I wish you were here to hold my hand,
I wish we walked bare feet along the beach, on the sand.

Old memories of those days make me feel so nostalgic,
Golden days of being lost in love and feeling so romantic.

The days are now gone and so has our age,
The lovebirds have now flown away leaving behind the broken empty cage.
