Sometimes in life,
I come to the situations
where I have to choose to be
a stem or a petal.
Petals though loved by all
and have the fragrance within
are fragile and can be broken
just like me at times,
when someone plucks them
while you put your trust that they won't
break you and admire your beauty,
but they do the opposite instead
and you lose your fragrance.
Stem though holds its ground
and even when it is covered
by the thorns,
