Imagine an army get corrupted. Will it save the country or destroy it? Will it protect democracy or enforce tyranny?
So when a population get corrupted through cheap entertainment, misbehaviour to the weaker section, lust and lavish consumerism, from where the army will be recruited?
At the same time from where the leaders will be choosen. Currently in India we are much better than the situation described.
But the way we are running the democracy, choosing leaders and the way our culture is getting maintained lacks a lot of discipline. We are almost stuck or going backward while simply putting a nonsensical GDP growth.
