Thinking about everything
That has happened over a couple of months.
There's not much I can recollect.
Apart from the fact that,
I didn't know you were with me all through,
Apart from the fact that,
Somewhere I knew it was all true.

But there's one thing I'm certain about,
"You lost your friends and I lost you."

If we can be together only in my dreams,
Then don't wake me up.
If unconsciousness can be my only license,
To be with you,
Then don't wake me up.
If wanting you in this real world is a crime.
Then let me dive deep into my longings
Atleast during nighttime.

Yes, I'm fascinated by stars.
Maybe that's why I thought I saw the universe,
When I looked into your eyes.
But I couldn't help notice that;
While I was staring at the universe,
I was losing a part of me.
A part of me had to burn,
To make my universe glow.
But everytime I'll see those eyes,
I'm ready to lose myself within them a million times.
Be it my last part, I'm ready to lose it too.
If that's what it takes to look at my universe again,
And lose myself within you.

Have I lost my ability to look at the entire sky ?
Have I lost my ability to count stars ?
Or is it you smudging my vision ?
And endless sky above me , And me ?
Instead of counting my ever companions; the stars,
My eyes are constantly fixed upon that one star,
That shares your name.
Sure that's not the brightest star I see,
But yes, that's all I see.
An unusual equilibrium exists between my gaze and that one star,
And no matter how hard I'm trying to look away,
All the stardust even combined will never be enough,
To help me shift my sight.
That's the power you have over me.
I've seen many people losing themselves among stars,
And I never understood before,
What was so captivating about these twinkling heavenly bodies.
But now that I'm losing myself,
I know what's different with the stars.
Yes, I'm a stargazer,
Because I've found my star.
YOU.

But I guess I've pushed myself,
In the deepest corners of hell.
Maybe that's because I trusted you,
I wanted you to love me,
And you just played with me so well.

I might have to fall in love
With thousand different things, On thousand different nights.
For my heart to forget what was it like falling for you.

I might have to listen hundreds of songs,
And lose myself in different melodies.
For my senses to forget what was it like listening to your heartbeat.

I might have to go through a lot more pain,
For my mind to forget what was it like not being with you again.

And I might actually have to start loving myself,
For my soul to start unloving you.

that's the difference between both of us.
you still remember only the last days
we were struggling through,
whereas i remember
how connected we were from day one.
and no wonder, i'm glad
of all that we had.
