कैसे बुझाऊँ... इस कण्ठ की प्यास ??

मेरी माँ वो हीरा हैं
जो मेरे जीवन को रोशन करता है
उम्मीद की आशा भरता है

जो मेरे जीवन को महकाता है
मुझे सदा दूसरों को खुशियाँ देना सिखाता है

मेरी माँ वो प्यार की मूर्ति है
जो विश्वास की पूजा करना सिखाती है
एहसास को महसूस कराती है

Yet, silence feels safer;
Hence, I remain mum.

Everytime when mommy gets angry at me and it's hard to make her talk, I come up with same idea which is already a confirmed stale. "you don't love me right?"
And she'd say, "No, I don't.😑"

Last night while we were having dinner it happened again and to make her talk, I came up with a new plan which I thought would work in just one go.
Mommy was serving yoghurt to everyone and the moment she came to me I said, "you can put it on my plate only if you love me."
Yeah, that was my master plan to calm her down. Mommy knows how I love yoghurt and can't eat without it so she'd definitely give it and I would proudly consider it as my forgiveness I thought.

But to my utter surprise, she didn't even bother to look at my plate and left.
Everyone kept looking at me, imminent to laugh.
And then, to save my leftover reputation I came up with a brand new dialogue, " I know mommy, it's tough for you to accept how much you love me infront of everyone, especially when I made you angry just moments ago. So, now you can give me my yoghurt. Our love needs no proof Mommy."

She tossed the yoghurt bowl hiding her grin and left without saying anything.

Since I was a child,
my mum had always woken me
up in the middle of the night
to feed me.
She just knew I was hungry,
even if I didn't.
The moment I smelt the
food, I realised I was actually hungry.
We have a messed up
mother-daughter relationship,
but that always holds between us.
Who will do that for
me the way that she does?

A life without mother
Is like a rainbow without colour!!!
