A foot in was all it took, and then I bent over yes I read the book
But it wasn't just a collection of paper, it was the hook
For the more I read deep within I felt the yearn for bread, not of flour but the bread that satisfies through every hour

A foot was all it took but now am knee deep, a sunken ship dead to the world but alive to he who owns it all
Addicted to the WORD not the paper
Losing myself to him as I go deeper
Until there's no turning back for a foot in was all it took then I went in knee-deep but now am drowned for life.
