I had spilled the beans a long time ago,
Time and again, for years,
All I've done is gather them.
Piece by piece, spoon by spoon,
Into the grinder.
The grinder mashed them all, grounded them all.
But with all of them,
it mixed my care, love,
compassion, secrecy,
Exclusivity, bitterness,
the bitterness which is a property,
an exclusive property of those beans.

But I said exclusivity already, didn't I?

It's a powder that was limited edition.
Just one big jar, no sharing.
It would last a lifetime.

A few days back,
The jar got stollen.
It was the same day
You told me you love coffee.

Now I know what beans I spilled years ago.

I rewrite on the scars
Beautiful tales and
decorate it from
the catastrophic stars
kept in my jar.

I rewrite because I realised
Scars are not
meant to be hidden
They are to be celebrated
with love.
They tell horror stories
of the past that
I've endured
and moved on.

I carried all your lies
and stored in a jar.
I still couldn't release them,
'coz those lies were once a
glittering fireflies for me.
