How Not To Move On:
1. We don't talk for weeks.
2. I start to miss you.
3. I listen to Ranjish-e-sahi and cry.
4. I text you I miss you.
5. You reply that it's the habit I'm missing, not you. I deny. I croon I miss you.
6. I do a Whatsapp video call.
7. You look like a doll. I say aww in my head. We exchange real smiles. Seems as if things are back to normal.
8. Network flickers. You ask me to call you normally.
9. I dial your number. You pick.
10. After the usual pleasantries and devoid of our faces, we fight. I hate having this conversation. You're belligerent.
11. I stop missing you. I tell myself why you're not right for me. I want someone soft-spoken. Someone with a soft demeanour. Like mine. Assertive, but in a cute way.
12. I start missing someone else, now. The ex before you.
13. I go back to 6. 6 to 13 repeats.
