I took off the mask one day,
And displayed my nude-self.
They sexualized my curves,
But no one sympathized with my scars.
They criticized the mask,
Never enquired of it's need.
Everyone saw the make-up washing off,
Ignored the tear-lines on my face.
They called me fake,
They called me fraud,
Yet heroes with masks,
Always made them applaud.
