My funniest school memory is secretly bursting of a fire cracker in Junior's class. They were punished, we had our classes.

One more:
क्लास के बाहर खड़ा कर देना सबसे अच्छी सज़ा होती थी। नहीं, सब दोस्तों के साथ के लिए नहीं, मैं आते जाते लोगों से बात करने लगता था या बास्केट बॉल खेलने लगता था। तंग आकर वो मुझे अंदर बुला लेते थे।

Travelling to school in an army truck had a charm of its own! Long benches would line the sides with one in the center with no hand holds! Those coming late had to stand, a victim of condescending looks by the privileged seated. Not to be outdone, they would wait eagerly for the driver to apply brakes, for then the center line would go sliding down, exposing vulnerable seats, immediately commandeered by the waiting looters! Then would ensue a riotous melee, a scuffle to claim back a prized possession. Amidst roars and the conductor's shouts, the school premises would be gained, deferring the battle of the seat to the next sortie! Indeed, some moments can never to be relived but remain etched in memory😄
