A hundred places visited
A thousand faces encountered
A million footsteps meandered
All to take my mind off you
All to coax my heart into forgetting you.
But in every place I visited
The beauty of aurora, lovingly, putting
a blanket over the drowsy moon, and
tenderly awaking the inspirited sun
Felt as if I am living your dream
without you; it pinched.
Adventure was always your dream
Your arms were my dream home.
Every visage I confronted, I witnessed
You smile, kissing me every second, as if
addicted, by blinking your eyes.
Every footstep I walked, it seemed like
I was advancing on the trail, you left for me,
to come find you if I ever lose you.
I know not if you've made home in every
Ounce of me or you've acquainted me with
Every bit, every inch of my own self.
