What is poetry,
if not the rings in our hand?
What reminds us of our loved ones
sitting alone in a faraway land.

यह जो चेहरे हैं यह मुखोटे हैं
असल चेहरे वह हैं
जिनकी वजह से
तुम लोगों को याद रहते हो
या लोग तुम्हें भूल नहीं पाते
मासूम चेहरे और राज गहरे
प्यार वफा ओर लोगो की बातें
बस बातें है जनाब बातों का क्या

If your dream
doesn't start a war
in your life
it is not a dream at all.

There's always a voice calling me back home ;
A voice I hear from my childhood full of little dreams,
A voice I hear from the days I've spent with my family,
A voice that recalls my good old days with all those mischievous friends.
When I go faraway,
there's always a piece of my heart
that I leave at home,
to tell me to be back home soon.

I loved someone who was far from my reality.

कभी थे तुझ पर फिदा आज अलहदा ही ठीक हैं,
कभी थे बेहद वफादार आज बेवफा ही ठीक हैं,
था एक वक़्त जब कहते थे- चलते हैं फिर मिलेंगे,
आज कहने के लिए तुमसे बस अलविदा ही ठीक है.

When I go far away
roll up my poems like brown cigars,
whisper half a breath on a wicker
and i shall whittle into thousand stars;

wander off like a summer breeze
into the briny whiff of the sea,
charting stolen moments
on the dawning sky;

trace a waning line along the waves,
i will always know how to find you
gleaming away across umpteen miles.
