Independence is achieved when you don't have to beg for freedom anymore.
Independence is loving what you do with liberty and being answerable to yourself, not to others.
Independence is breaking the shackles that restrict your movement.
But sometimes,
independence is all about tying up yourself to a job,
answering your peers, superiors, and seniors,
just so that you earn enough to live ‘independently’ at your own expenses.

कमाई कितनी, खर्चे कितने?
ऊंचे ऊंचे मेरे शोक कितने।।

काम कितना, आराम कितना?
मुसलसल ये मेरे ख्वाब कितने।।

नाम कितना, पहचान कितनी?
करत फिर अभिमान कितना।।

चाहत कितनी, सरजमीं कितनी?
औकात से ऊंचे मेरे शोक कितने।।

सुना है दफ़्न जज़्बात आज फिर मचले है,
दिल की गली में शोर और, तेरे नाम के चर्चे है,
बड़े मासूम बन के जो लौटे हो, तो वैसे ही चले जाओ,
क्योंकि कम कर दिए अब मैनेे, कुछ फ़िज़ूल खर्चे है।
