Evening coffee!

The city seemed to be different that day,
I was sitting at the book cafe which was located at the corner of the busy street.
It was less crowded & the silence along with the dim lights and aroma of the freshly brewed coffee had a soothing effect.

All I had was a cup of coffee & a book to accompany me. I sat listening to the music of the raindrops, gripping the coffee mug tightly & turning the pages of the book.

Subconsciously thinking for whom this rain is falling for,
People say when it rains, it eases out pain, the sound heals the lonely soul.
Through the fogged window & the raindrops rolling down on the glass, i could see that everything around was turning grey, grey streets, grey buildings & busy street getting slow as if everything had a therapeutic effect?
Did the rain heal the pain?

An evening with silence and a mug of coffee is what I crave for
right now at this very moment
on this very day.
