I remember the first time I buried my legs in the warm sands of a beach. The waves were galloping down the shore and I was balancing myself to the strong winds that were pushing me away from the salt water. My feet gave away to a rock hidden beneath the sand and I fell headfirst on the grainy sand. Lying there I heard the heartbeat of the ocean and the primary whispers of several blooming relationships. That day I realized how the beach enthralls us and that every relationship has a beach somewhere around it.

From the time I boarded the train I could not look away from those enthralling eyes of hers even for a moment. I guess she noticed me but didn't seem to mind it. I wanted to talk, but hesitated to initiate it. The train halted at a station and she got up, I guessed this was her stop. I saw a stick in her hand,
"What's the stick for?" I said
"For walking sir. I can't see." She replied as she left the compartment as I sat there stunned in silence.
