The bashful night
proudly cloaks
the earth with a sinister
dark silence;
the owl is hesitant
to fly off the bough,
the silent cicadas hide
behind the leaves -
the firefly too, is wary
of defying the silent darkness;
the moon, who was in shining glory
hide herself behind a dark cloud-
perhaps, scared to provoke
the dark spirits who stealthily
tread hearts in the dark night.
Alone I stare into the
silent darkness, my heart
demure; only the eye blinks
breaking the sombre quetiude.
