I look at you,
I see a wall;
beautiful and sturdy,
but also with little cracks
and holes small enough,
to let light enter,
but tall enough to
prevent someone from
climbing over.
Defeated,
I stand and stare at you,
supported by crutches
carved out of acceptance,
I yearn to use
as a ladder someday.
