I opened the windows of my soul to
look out for the resplendent world that
I read about in my childhood books.
But all I saw was humans
metamorphosing into beasts.
And beasts seem to disappear all together
as if they are horrified by mankind
and trampled by humanity.
Feigned human civilization
captured sleep from my eyes
as if to heed the negativity and
fallacious humanity that surrounded me.
The goddesses are the most ill treated
and then comes those angels
who have hardly seen the world.
There is so much to see, so much to feel,
just so much to take in.
My inner conscience now feels ached
as if it is seeing those last rays of hope
just slipping away.

I don't get lost in those glittery eyes,
but in every moment that I spend with him.
I don't pamper him all the time,
but care for him a lot.
I don't cuddle him at all,
but give him a tight hug right away.
I don't support him everytime,
but always stay by his side, come what may.
I don't hold his hand on chilled winter nights,
but when he can't hold his own emotions.
I don't start crying when I see him hurt,
but give him a hand and run for the first aid box.
I don't want to see him happy,
but make him the happiest with my own efforts.
I want to stay with him throughout, not as his love,
but as his best friend
because he is not my life,
but my life line.
