रसोई से नई खुशबू के साथ,
हल्की आलसी दोपहर के साथ,
एक नया इतवार आता है।

हफ़्ते भर की खरीदारी के साथ,
सहेलियों संग गपशप के साथ,
एक नया इतवार आता है।

एक नया इतवार आता है,
मौके नए दे जाता है,
जो बिगड़ा है उसे सुधारने का,
मेहमानों को घर पधारने का....

एक नया इतवार आता है,
कुछ वक़्त मुझे दे जाता है,
नया कुछ आज लिख देने का,
कविताओं को अपनी संजोने का....

चख लिए सारे मौसम एक चुस्की में,
चाय, धूप और दुपकी में।

Leave it alone.
Let its barren earth absorb the loss.
Dig the memories of past.
Let is sob for a while. Let it drench entirely in tears.

Until it's ready to irrigate new dreams.
Break open all the cracks.
Fill them with soil of gold.
Hum the lullabies of kindness every night.

Let it sleep on the seeds of time.
Now wait. Wait for the dawn.
And watch it bloom.

I really like this region in my terrace.After taking the afternoon shower on these wintry days,this is the corner my shivering body craves for.

Flooded with all the warmth the January sun can bestow,it makes it the favourite time of my day.The bougainvillea crayoned in purple and pink,outlined by the magical gold of the sun,rests on the parapet,silent.
The solitary bench parked by,where I sit and listen to stories,sometimes telling one.The newly bloomed rose of crimson,dahlia,petunia,chrysanthemums, flutters in the mild breeze.The leaves in different shades of green,ornament my flowers.

I sing,they flutter,adding to the warmth of my afternoon.I blare out my fantasies,they carve one with the shades and the sun.It makes it my kind of an afternoon, after the shower...

It's been a long time we have not met, we have not embraced each other in love and distress.

I miss you so much, miss my safe days on my cosy bed, reading endlessly, filling up pages of my diary, with happiness.

Hi lazy afternoons,
I want to get back to you sometime, but I am employed now and nobody really understand my relationship with you. What can I do!?

Hi lazy afternoons,
I remember us together, inseperable, a single lazy and happy soul. I remember us asleep and those sudden thunderstorms. I remember us singing to new Hindi songs. I remember us in love, a selfless one!

I'm having a sun as my best friend
It is giving pleasure to me
Each sun raise reminds me the closeness of someone that is as warm as that hug which I will experience one day waiting for it.

Once pleasant afternoons now have drastically changed.
Animated discussions replaced with brooding by the window pane.
These days Ma goes to sleep. Fatigued by ageing, surgery and Diabetes.
She no longer has stories to tell. Though she tries earnestly to follow your's, her tired eyes fail.


Present concludes - I know these hurt the most.
All that you had when it rained and all that you have now lost.
But I leave with a word of advice - the rains don't reprimand, they empathize.
They understand both, your joy and sorrow. And will always hide your tears, today and tomorrow.
