You were my curse
Somehow, also the cure.

If I could go back in time I would. Unravel the memories that I had so painstakingly woven with love, and so much heart. I was a bright eyed child then, with hopes and wishes still alight.
The memories made in sinful haste, and the memories forged with joyous wonderment-- they're somehow the same to me, marked with bitterness as I look back at them. In just a few turns, they would all be gone. Just like the tiny grains of sand escaping into the little hourglass that number every heartbeat, only to be toppled over, and start again.
Or fast forward into the future, to blissful oblivion.
Oh, how I wish I could travel in time, do anything to escape this horrendous reality.

Moving on
Came easier than I thought.
My busy hours keep my plate full
All I know is I don't pine for it
As much as I thought I would.
I gave up on old dreams of mine
And for new ones I'm looking still.
But I'm afraid they would just be added
To the pile of dreams left unfulfilled.

The joy
Which I wish is there
To see me.

The skip in your steps, the ripple in your laugh
And the sound of your voice
That sends delicious shivers
In me.

The dimple in your cheek, the wind in your hair
That mole on your nose
Adorning your perfectly chiseled face
Your God-like beauty.

I see it all, watching from a distance
Yearning
With all my heart
That you would too
See me
The way I see you.

In a perfect world you think of me as much as I think of you.
That all you're waiting for is a sign that would show you what you could never bring yourself up to say.

In a perfect world, you love me as much as I love you.

But a perfect world, a love utopia is only a figment of my imagination, as you are of mine. Each word that you never said, and every glance that I misread, all tell me that a perfect world is only real in my dreams.
