Wandering minds
hide under a practiced pretense,
behind seemingly faithful bodies,
temporarily escaping
the adultery charge,
ignoring the fact
that the reprieve is fleeting.

Sooner, rather than later,
the bodies succumb too,
given the contagious nature
of that rogue thought.
