Insulted constantly
Eighty proof liquor
Made it numb enough for me

The trick?
I don't know, you see.
You never really know...
Someone's capabilities.

Stay away...
From bad attitudes
Because someday they may...
Beat you down completely too

***Abuse takes many forms. In my case...I was abused mentally and physically. There's only one way to get through that...and that's day by day. I can't imagine what other women must deal with. The recovery takes a very long time. I still am. Mistreatment of any kind must come to an end. ***

Mislead and mistreated
The so called trusted people turned out to be her agony
So she chose to switch it off
All the emotions and all the feelings
