Everything around me is co-existing peacefully:
the blank sky over me,
the empty space beside me,
the hollow heart within me.
It's like from each vacant place a voice is echoing:
"You haven't slept from years.
You need a sleep...
a long... never-ending sleep".

I suffer from insomnia.

Sitting by the window,
when the world slept,
her chaotic thoughts
seemed to keep her awake.
The breeze blew to calm her
the trees swayed to put her to sleep.
However, her sleep deprived eyes
knew the reality though.
Sleep seemed far away from her eyes
as if sleep had lost its way to insomnia.
The stars watched her in awe
and the moon praised her efforts
yet something always falls short.
She feared nothing and no one at all
still, the stillness around her,
brought no sleep with it at all.

You witness my wildest thoughts
and hear everything
I wish I could forget.
We have to stop meeting
like this.

Nowadays
It seems like
I'm suffering from
Insomnia
Every time I try to sleep
It's hard for me
To push those memories behind
Which makes me
Awake throughout night.
