Every night I stay awake,
I start talking to the silence,
In search of the only thing that can help my insecurities.
Every night I stay awake,
I grow up of all the negative,
That has kept me seprated from my own beneficence.
Every night I stay awake,
I discover something new about me,
That I was missing.

Every night I stay awake,
I wait to wake up,
Wake up from the dream.
To find that it was all
But in my head,
As bad as it seems.

To see- I am still sleeping
In your arms. Your face,
I recall, an oasis of peace.
To hear your breathes,
And sink in your smell,
As I feel your warmth in me.

Yet, the memories bring the shivers.
I am as frozen as, when you set me free.
I pull the blanket closer, to hide the hole in me.

Every night I stay awake,
To erase a little of your shadow,
As I grow into another me.

To check up on my little son..
being a single mother
is no easy task
that too with support of none..

Every night i stay awake
To contemplate
on my journey till now..
Somewhere i cry hard and
Somewhere i say WOW...

Many a times I myself wonder..
on how i took decision
to not surrender..
Abiding with
the fatal implications of society
But soon i realised,
Motherhood is simply a form of Divinity.!!

Building castles in the world which is fake
Counting back the days when you and me smiled for each others sake.
Every night I stay awake,
Cherishing the memories which we made
Watching our love gradually fade!
Every night I stay awake,
Dreaming about us holding hands beside the lake
And then realising yes I am still not awake...

Every night I stay awake till the time a BOOK caresses my thoughts and pacifies any turbulence in my mind,
By taking me into reality which is away from this materialistic world of fakes!
