They don't beg your respect,
They never try to be perfect.
They are mentally altruistic,
They are morally realistic.
They ain't just autistic,
They are truly artistic.

Differently abled is the personality,
Disabled is the labelled identity.
For bravery is a pulling gravity,
Of all their fearing scarcity.
Show them your kind affection,
Instead of rude discrimination.
Treat them as human beings,
They too have emotions and feelings.

Mom & Dad feared that
she'd hurt me when she's around.
When I was a baby,
she took me for a shower.
Hot water bath, burnt my skin.
They sent her to a special boarding school
after that episode, or so was I told.
She grew phobic to hot water, ever since.

When I go to her school
for our monthly visit,
she'd hug me tight
and leave a wet kiss,
on my fluffy cheeks.
She'd remind me of my age,
precise to the day and hour.
She'd not ask me a thing,
she'd just laugh innocently.
I was told to be careful around her.
But I was cheerful around her.

She had blue eyes, sapphires.
I'd tell her that I love those eyes.
She'd say she'll pluck them out
and gift it on my next birthday.
She hated change, a lot.
she had hard time coping with it.
So she stole my sweater
on our first visit, to keep me closer
when she's surrounded by strangers
on all sides and corners.

She's mentally retarded, they said.
I thought it's a superpower where
you can love with all your heart.

Don't separate them with a tag 'Special',
Count them as normal, count them as you,
A game with equal rules,
And a dance on dance floor, song with words "bla bla bla......"
Ending with a booty shake,
You'll hear the sweetest laughter, only angels can make,
There is no cure, God is so pleased to them,
They'll never learn dishonesty, no selfishness,
Purest state one can have,
They have lot of things to struggle, your staring will surly not help,
Autism don't seeks for your sympathy,
All they want is your empathy ❤️

Shaking off her fright, she confessed her love.
He despised.. questioned her sanity.
She recoiled herself in disdain.

Once again, the courage of an autistic girl went unnoticed.

When all the Thoughts
Seem to them as Puzzle
With Anger and Frustration
Never try to have them Muzzled
They too want to say a lot
But some neither have words
And some lose their plot
Today-
Lend Your hand
To anybody with Autism
As Ignoring them
Would just be Escapism..
There is No wound
That can not be concealed...
Let Your Love and Warmth
Help them Heal...
