The first time I saw you, you bled because of me. A random object that was buried deep in my lap cut you sharply. I meant to apologize but your five year old self wouldn't have any of it. You cried so loud.
With every wail, I fell for you a little more. I waited for your return since. Searched your chubby cheeks in every five year old, unaware that years rolled fast. Sent out waves to look for you in shores but no news of you came back to me.
One fine day you did come back. Pity, I couldn't recognise your teen self; not until you lifted your pants off your ankles and I saw that scar. Before I amble back, you left again. I sloshed all over the shore that day but you were gone. I accepted defeat by midnight.
I wish I could see you once again, I pray I'd recognise you right away. I just hope I could kiss that scar sorry, once. Just once, let me please...
