I do enjoy breaking the silly
blind confidence of extroverts
at their face when they talk about things.

Complex complications, as we age

Between the poised and the poisoned,
the understandings and the reasonings,
Seasons and voices and everything around,
In the midst of the war, one for ourselves,
and one we see in the world, to fight but,
to whom, where and how, soulfully haunted
as we sleep or die.
