Not one , there are a handful.

But of all, this reminds me that I have healed
From barely surving a day to thinking of setting goals.
From journals to trackers

Life has taught me that
You are never too strong for what it throws at you.
Striving to outgrow your surroundings can also be a goal worth setting.

I miss you
I am you

Ahh,
Like a sprint of rain on a parched summer lane,
Like a silver thread in a gray sky,
Like the wait lovers bear before a date.

As a child, I loved the monsoon rains on early Saturday mornings
I’d wake just to take in the magic of it only to tuck in under the weight of a warm blanket, lulled to sleep by the swaying hush and swell of rain.
I’d sleep through the storm, until the sun's out.

Years have passed.
Feels like another Saturday..
We now count days by feelings than names
It's raining again It rises and fades, rises again.
Your mother sleeps beside you, curled like a child.
Must be an early morning.
Tucked in under the same old blanket.
Only this time the sleep is lurking
somewhere around the quiet corners.

Ends just where it started,
Drifting through the knowns.
24 more hours, forlorn.

How rich do you have to be to write without breaking your heart for it? To write from experience and observation, rather than needing your feelings to wrench the words out of you?
Guess it takes a different kind of wealth

Caught in the middle belonging nowhere
Equally sweet and painful
Such is fate
