Unloving you
was never that difficult
but only until I saw you
loving the four-legged ones

Mumma,
do you know
the calendar says
it's been 1 year, 1 month and 22 days
since I last talked to you?

Sorry August, but I can't help but not not dislike you.

You'll forever be hated by me for shamelessly showing
your face every year even after the timeless and ruthless
demise of the lovely damsel who was born in your lap.
Every time you fall in my pathway of killing another
set of 365 (or whatever) no. of days and hurt me a
bit harder (God knows the reason behind your grudges).
You could've chosen to do that in a little kinder way โ€”
probably by putting me to sleep for quite a few days
by making me meet with some accident or by
just making me go insane so that I'd not feel your
arrival, departure or stay. (See, there can be
multiple solutions!) But instead, you chose to
crush me and my lovesick heart. :):

When the ringing silences no longer sound cacophonous,
and the lingering absences no longer remind you of any void

All that you have to say to them is
"I like your posts without reading them"

// What to say to myself? //

Do you know when I talk to myself we (me and my me) promise each other to practice silence as a yog guru taught me long back how to pause my thoughts. Although I never practised that, deep down I know it's good for me.

We start by saying to each other: "Hush! Stop thinking, you bish!". Then all of a sudden the memories from my past start tiptoeing in my head like expired Diwali crackers, leaving me with loads of gibberish to say to myself.
