Yun toh nahi ki khulti zulfon ka zikr ishq mein hi ho,
Abr-e-baaraan se lipte sitaare aur bhi honge.
Momm ke shabb se pighalte badan se aage nikal kar,
Shayaron ki ghazlon ke sahaare aur bhi honge.
Yun toh nahi ki baarishein ho khushlibasiyon ki chaadar failane ko,
Adaa ki shokhiyon bhhari bahare aur bhi hongi,
Yun bhi nahi ke barsein megh aasu ghol dene ko,
Hijra ke daur mein cheekhein, daharhein aur bhi hongi.

Kabhi kabhi ho jaati hai bas yun hi,
Baras jaate hain baadal jaise, bas yun hi, bin ehteraam kare,

Wherever I go I see people.
Fancy, forted, checked people;
Crestfallen, miffed, nerve wrecked people,
Pretty, ugly, uncategorized people,
Big bodied, small sized people,
Free, trapped, guarded people;
Frisky, potent, retarded people,
Laughing, smiling, giggling people,
Anxious, confused, wiggling people;
Low tempered, resentful, frowning people,
Crawling, flying, drowning people,
Just bothered about themselves people,
Ones who believe in fairies and elves people.
Some running across the streets people,
Others stuck on the same beats people.
And I blink my eyes, people fade away,
Of different guise, mannerisms and array.
Too often I see people I gauge them,
Of I form opinions and lodge them,
And then I wonder, the way of descriptions I see,
Do people too look upon to brand me?

The day I find myself
robust enough to be that bee
which sucks all the nectar
from your flavoursome gardens,
I will stop humming,
I will stop moaning;
for I'll be robust enough to
lay honey chested eggs, all alone;

Isn't it about essence
