Granny's cafe
There are many people around who are retired or alone, they want to talk to people but the phone generation rather likes to listen to the podcast than their oldies experience. The section I created was talk to me section , where in people who wanted to spend time could sit and play games, enjoy music and also some could go for dates. As we began we got a lot of criticism and granny was also not sure about the idea. There were people who called this rubish but I knew it will help those who need people to escape loneliness. For a week section was empty it could not fill tables which caused panic. We tried to spread a word and things started coming our way, there were people who came in looking for some talk or to just find attachment. Initially staff use to talk to them, but later the section was so full that people spoke among themselves. They use to play music of their choice, play a lot of games, talk very much and we could see some young old chemistry brewing. We set date nights , movie nights and open mics. Now I could leave my granny and go to college without any fear. I hoped until next vacation she could get a companion too!

Granny's cafe
I wanted to stay in hampi to look after granny as well as the cafe because she had nobody else. She use to make me wash dishes, clean the kitchen and also made me a waiter when staff was low but I never felt bad. I felt like it was a princess's hustle under her empowered queen. Granny's cafe use to never deliver but I pulled few strings and then the extended areas could also get walnut muffins. Granny use to be relieved when I was around, she use to go to parties, attend association meetings and every other thing she could not do because of the cafe. Sometimes I use to feel she should have a companion to share her heart out. My grandad passed years ago and she was left to her loneliness. Raising kids and handling cafe was her life. She had so much to talk but people couldn't find time. So I asked her about her friends, she told me everyone wanted to spend time but some had either financial restrictions or some use to fear society. I made up my mind to do something for granny and old age people who only wanted to talk or spend time. I created a section in the cafe.

Granny s cafe
My vacations were usually spent at my granny's cafe in hampi, she had a terrace cafe where everyone could see the river. She use to stay alone there. I know loneliness killed her but she managed without any complain. I use to work with her, she use to teach me how to make cakes and muffins. Her speciality was walnut muffins, people use to come just to buy those. Walnut muffins were granny's pride. I was very happy I had completed my board examinations and the colleges were suppose to start after results. So I had around 3 months to accompany her. I wanted to be a pastry chef just like my granny. The hug she gave me when I reached hampi was the warmest greet I ever received. She use to let me decorate the terrace platform with flowers, design the lofts and always ask me the trends. She wanted to stay young so the cafe could attract young crowd. Granny was in her 60s but her personality was like 30s. She use to wear one piece frocks with granny's cafe apron. I ever wondered what if she could go out on any date, but society would definitely mind if she did so. She use to host open mics in her cafe every week to give opportunities to young talents.

Summer of the unmasked era!
Children yelling summer break on top of their voice,
Tie tied on their head just like rebel,
The time where parents bribe the kids to stay at home with toys
Children Eat, Play and sleep to complete the treble,

Buttering mothers for ice cream enjoys,
Gather near the ice cream truck,
Orange candy is everyone's choice,
Asking the best candy trying their luck

on request father himself bunking his made curfew for night cricket,
Unstoppable sixs and fours cause a lot of bulb damage,
Waiting for cousins to get IPL ticket,
just to skip homework children make excuses savage,

Sweats and tan are feared this season,
But scary part is now even the season is in quarantine,
Masks and sanitizers have put as in intangible prison,
Dreaming of having summer 2022 back like before while assuring safety from Old age to teen.

One more night,
And yet I fight,
Beneath my sheets and deep in my pillow,
My will fighting with my honor's billow,
Did I upset someone again?
Do I do this on purpose? Why do I cause them pain?
I swear I don't mean to hurt you,
But I know my words aren't new,
I am causing trouble due to my blunt and uncensored words,
I wish I wouldn't hurt any if I just preferred,
I am genuinely good and interest in everyone's happiness,
But rather I am the one who is left with loneliness,
And yet one more night,
That I fight,
For what I said I am responsible,
And not for what you understand - you are sensible,
I am sorry for the hurt I still caused,
I wish I could have just paused.
