As the world debates,
Whether to cut gas supplies from Russia
Or uphold a no flight zone stand,
Whether to partake in the war
Or keep tweeting in our town meetings
While babies are birth into ravage
& families die in silos & bunkers,
We will continue to hear their stories
See their cries & feel their exodus,
Till their capital falls
& their leaders found hanged by the neck,
The UN barks like a toothless old dog
With tails fixed in between her frail legs
How soon should the world say no & mean it
Should it be when nothing remains to protect,
But ruins, debris & desolation

I call for peace in Ukraine,
For war has never fixed any case
But brought more ills than any intended good,
If good was ever a case for a war;
fueled destruction & praised anarchy
quelled progress & burnt love
Served end to a future while setting hope ablaze
Thus, abuse rights & defacing humanity for greed
& inflating rage & deflated ego,
To what end?
To what gain?

Their land is so vast,
So vast they sold a piece to the US;
So loud I wonder,
Saying to myself in curiosity,
Has he maxed his planes,
Has he developed the land enough
Made all his citizens wealthier
& crushed poverty to a defeated pulp
That his eyes should prowl over another
Or seek hideous moves to claim more
By destroying more lives & displacing thousands more
How much do we need to sit, tweet & watch
While a maniac king roam on missiles
With his buttocks bare to a fuse

Yet, I wonder, why is Russia doing a war today?
