if this heartbreak
made me so strong,

imagine how strong
your love could make me.

for once,
try talking to the silence.
may be you get all your answers.

You were like cigarette smoke.

Transient. Bearing a suffocating stench.
Yet addictive.

there's nothing more painful than to be pushed into the dark
by the same hands that once pulled you out from that intimidating place.

your touch is a beautiful catastrophe.
it sets my skin on fire.
floods my veins with blood.
makes my bones tremble.
and leaves me struggling for breath.

there were lies
oozing out of your promises.
just like blood escaping out
from the slits on my wrist.

unnoticed in the beginning,
but giving excruciating agony
as they became evident.

Friend: I have to go to the hospital to see my boyfriend. He has kidney stone.

Me (sighing): My ex also has stone. Just that it's heart-shaped.

You sprout out of the land and open your eyes
You're caught up in the love you get, but then, time flies.
There were once people around you who marveled at your hues.
Who adored your intricacies, saying there were only a few like you.
People who once considerd you to be the glory of their lives,
Now wouldn't even let you survive.

You grow up and realise
That the world is a murderer in disguise.
There will be days when you would lose yourself admiring the petrichor.
But there will also be storms which you would have to endure.
And even when you think you're inching close to your doom,
Even when the ground turns stone cold,
Find something to hold on to and bloom.

The society judges you through colours.
Not true ones, but superficial.
My dusky complexion
That makes me undesirable.
The bright red lipstick,
That makes me a slut.
My colourful, short clothes
That shout-out that I might be 'wanting it'.

Even the colour with which I paint is judged.
For when it transforms into sceneries,
You call it a masterpiece.
But painting bare bodies, natural beauty,
Makes me a woman of questionable character.

This is how the society works.
Blinded to your true colours,
Always searching for your flaws.

आज शाम इस सूरज में कुछ अलग सी लाली है।
कहीं तुमने इसे भी वही घाव तो नही दे दिये?
