Some days
my darkness lives within me like a homeless person who has found shelter.
Quiet. Not making much sound.
As if it is almost insignificant.
The other days,
it is like a parasite.
Feeding on my insecurities.
Sucking out every ounce of life from me.
It wants me to wake up all night
so that it can make a brief appearance under my eyes
to remind me it's still there.
It does not let me eat for days
so that it can find more space to expand and extend its stay.

If independence to you means being locked up in your houses,
because you're afraid that the hatred you had been watering all year long would transform
into a terror attack today,
well, Happy Independence Day then.

light will find a way into your soul.
it's just that on some days,
it would want you
to break apart like the dark clouds,
only to come and overpower the darkness.

Some days,
depression is about
hating your favourite skinny denims
or your body hugging tees,
because the darkness
takes so much of your space.
So you end up falling in love
with oversized clothes,
to let the light enter you.
And what concerns people is
whether you've lost your fashion sense
along with your sanity and smile.

Love
is not always
a picture
seen through
rose-tinted glasses.
Some days,
it is like
seeing the world
through an old,
hazy window.
My eyes hurt
but I still manage
to find
that one beautiful scene
to keep looking at
and stick around.

everyone
must fall in love
once in their life.
to learn
that love
is supposed to lift you up
to the skies.

to the ones
who think they're strong
because no one ever saw them cry.
ask your pillow that soaks in your fear
of being judged by people
every single night.

we lay on the green meadow.
my head resting on your lap.
the breeze, beaitiful and mellow.
as i look up at the sky
and then into your deep brown eyes,
i find myself standing at the horizon;
witnessing heaven and earth
at the same time.
and when the sun
tries to hinder my bliss,
you say nothing but lean in closer
and smile at me.
the light strikes your back
and i watch it disperse
into a million brilliant colours.
at that very moment,
i feel i've found my universe.
my safe haven.

But no matter how hard I try,
This hunger for your love
And the thirst for your care
Seem to extend till infinity.
