On the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya,
Lord Rishabhadev broke his 400 day long fast,
After attaining Kevalgyan, when he went in quest of food,
He got not a morsel, due to karmas of his past.
He was offered Gold, Jewellery, and all lavish amenities,
But He had renunciated them all,
Worldly pleasures meant nothing to Him,
He only followed His soul's inner call!
Then when he entered Hastinapur,
He had smaran of his purva bhav,
In His past life, He had tied a net around a cow's mouth,
Making it starve!
His grandson Shreyansh Kumar,
Offered Him sugarcane juice,
Coz he was aware of monks conduct,
And what they are allowed to use!
From this, dear Amam we learn,
Karma spares not even God,
So be a good human, empathic towards others needs, mindful of your actions,
Keeping your heart broad!
This auspicious day marks the celebration of new beginnings,
This day, also marks your mamma's star birthday,
So serve the needy reminiscing Lord Rishabhadev,
And grow into a beautiful human in your own special way!

Friday is filled with excitement
Of the happy weekend ahead,
The thrill of doing something fun,
Prevents her from going to bed!
She wakes up at lunch hour,
And has a sumptuous meal,
Followed by Saturday siesta!
What a beautiful feel!
Putting on her dancing shoes,
She is ready to pull an all nighter,
Her pack of friends is just perfect,
To make her weekend brighter!
Sunday is just to laze around,
And recharge for the week,
Coz chances of chilling on a weekday,
Seem very bleak!
And then comes the dreaded Monday Eve,
Bringing along shades of blue,
Compared to the weekdays,
In the blink of an eye, the weekend flew!

She is a soldier,
True to her mission!
No matter what the weather is,
She never loses focus from her vision!
Some days the target seems easy,
The bullet hits the elephant's mouth,
I know it's Bulls eye!
But that's the creativity, a mom's life is about!
Well, coming back to the point,
On other days, the target looks far,
And the opening is way too small,
That's when she uses her super power!
She attacks from the back,
Sometimes holding the head,
There are times when she gets hit back,
It's a war field, so of course tears are shed!
She slips and falls,
Through trickly puddles,
And sometimes trips when she sprints,
To stir clear the huddle!
But despite these injuries,
She stands tall and fixes her helmet,
And focuses back on her mission,
To ensure her target is met!
And in this way she didn't realise,
How big a responsibility she had on her shoulder,
Feeding her toddler was no less than a battle,
From a mother, she has become a soldier!
With her sore leg, she lays in bed,
While she writes this piece,
Since she had slipped in the puddle of pee while sprinting to feed her daughter,
Now that her mission is accomplished,
Her mind is finally at peace!

She shouted at her little princess,
For exceeding her screen time,
Her heart was full, knowing she did it out of innocence,
Yet seeing the situation, she lost her patience!
She couldn't hold anyone responsible,
She could only make her daughter more respect ,
Hence she gathered herself and said a firm no,
Screentime except meals was a strict no go!
Her princess shed priceless tears,
As a mother, her heart thumped too,
After all, for the first time, she had scolded her most precious being,
It was not a very good feeling!
In the evening, when they both calmed down,
Mother pointed at the television,
And the daughter indicated no no with a smile,
The mother felt grateful, her daughter is God sent,
Her daughter let go of the anger and understood her mother's intent!

The lion roared,
Eating the same food I am bored!
Amam said, "Come here, dear lion
Eat this pomegranate it's full of iron!"
The elephant walked with a thump,
"It's a hot sunny day and I have no water to play or jump!"
Amam said,"We can play in my bathtub with glee!
Using your trunk, will you shower water on me?"
The Giraffe said"The leaves are so dull and dry!"
"I'll share my soup with you", said Amam! "You don't cry!"
"No one is playing with me", said the puppy!
"I don't feel very happy!"
"Come home, drink milk and we'll play catch"
Amam hugged the puppy and said, "Our friendship is a perfect match!"
Then the cat came purring,
Amam's heart went out to her, pouring!
The cow mooed,"The grass mixed with dirt on the floor, it feels gross!"
"Come here dear cow", said Amam, "Let's share mangoes!"
It was a happy day for all,
As the lion, elephant, giraffe,puppy cat and cow,
Played with each other without judging or raising a brow!
Amam is destined to embrace the wild!
After all she is nature's grandchild!

"Are you a new mother?", She asked
"Yes, my baby is about a month old!"
"Oh! Does she sleep well and feed well?"
"You know, that's a bit of a challenge, I'm a new mom!"
After a few months, again she was asked, "How is your daughter dealing with solids?"
"Trial and error, we will get there", she said!
"Nom,nom! I'm a new mom!"
A trimester passed,
She was asked, "Oh she doesn't have teeth yet?"
"Itchy jaws and struggle biting",
Frowned the new mom!
"Still not talking or walking?
New mom ah?",
"Yes, I am a new mom!
And proud of my princess' pace!
She comminunicates like no other,
In her own special ways!
She blesses me each day,
And everyone whom she meets!
She is a giver at heart,
To everyone, she loves to feed!
Yes, I'm a new mom,
I adorn my #newmom cape with grace,
I foster her growth, however,
I love watching her
Spread her wings and explore the world
At her own pace!

With every passing day, you are living up to your name!
Just like Krishna, you too are quirky and happy go lucky!
You know it all, but I struggle with predicting your mood!
Some days start with a happy cheer,
And in seconds, turn grumpy seeing food!
Just like Krishna loved his Yashoda Maiya,
Your mischievous eyes are filled with love for me!
Just like he played with Gopis,
I love watching you giggle with your didi!
You are my sunshine,
Which is brighter than the summer sun!
The magic of your warm cuddles and blessings,
Erase my fatigue from the day's run!
You try tickling my nerves with your mischief,
And when I serve food, you run to your father,
You are my Krishna, my Amam!
I am privileged to be chosen as your mother!
