"Lost Courage"

I wanted to say a lot of things,
Which I think she already knows.
How funny it was to assume,
That I was the one she chose.

Still haven't got the courage to speak up,
About the things pushing me to my lows.

About the things I'm unable to say?
Sitting silently with some life thoughts,
Watching karma pave it's way.

Wondering whether I'll ever get to tell her,
About the things she already knows.
Whether she'll ask for my version of the story,
Or whether we'll again be that close.

Outside world will fall in place.

दिल काफी चिल्लाता है,
लेकिन मेरा दिमाग काफी शातिर है...
चेहरे पर मुस्कुराहट दिखा के,
दिल को अंदर ही अंदर चुप करा देता है ।

फ़लक की चाहत में,
उस जहाँ को पीछे छोड़ दिया,
जिस जहाँ में रहने की आरज़ू थी ।

एक इबरत से टकराए तो पता चला,
जिस फ़लक को मंज़िल समझ के निकले थे,
वह फ़लक तो जहाँ में ही पीछे छूट गया ।

We often end up with someone
who isn't what you want.
But surely that someone is necessary,
As they help us in differentiating the mains with others.

शब्दो से पहले सोच रखता हूँ,
दिल से पहले दिमाग रखता हूँ ।
इतनी बार ठोकर खा ली है कि,
दूसरों से पहले खुद को रखता हूँ ।

चलिए छोड़िए,
कौन सी पहली दफ़ा है ।
