மன வாசம் சூழ்ந்து,உறங்கினான் அவன்,
விழிக்கவில்லை,
நட்டாத்தியில் செக்கசிவந்த சூரியன்
அழகிய ஆக்காஷமாகிய அவனை உலா
வருமெனில்,அவன் வளர்த்த தனிக்காடு,
பூத்து குலுங்க எண்ணி தோற்றன,
"ஓ' ஆக்காஷா மழையாய் வா!
உன் உயிர் தா,என அலறினா!"
அது உறக்கமல்ல மரணம் என்று தெரிந்தும்.
