Empty Cups


Empty Cups are never poised


Never pour out from an empty cup
Drops don't trickle out
Forgotten Lees
Won't bring joy

You can never pour out from an empty cup
So take in, fill up, brim up
Let your cup be overflowing
Out with abundance
Like rivers flowing

Pain poured out
Purges, purifies
Provides perpetual peace
In the presence of the Provider

Vicious cycle though it may appear
Pain is an ingredient of healing
Acknowledging is marinating
Pouring out brings the flavour

Round and round in circles go
Pain-pour-peace-Pain- pour-peace
Well healing takes time

Well acknowledged Pain
Rightly vented out
Divinely restored
Uprightly equipped
Path ahead is laid
deep in your heart

The angels;
ministered
strengthened

When weak, weary and worn
Tired, toughened and torn
Helpless and hopeless
This respite makes you speechless

When happy, hopeful and honored
joyful, jocund and jubilant
Triumphant and thankful
These times are endeared

When elated or in dumps
Be it up on the mountain-top
Or Down in the valley
Zenith to horizon to Nadir
Is you presence
And in it are the
Times of Refreshing

As the reality dawns,
Loss becomes evident-
All around, everyday
Pain sinks deeper,
Life is not the same
Anymore

Nothing makes sense
Emptiness prevails
Everything becomes valueless
Feels like betrayed, unfairly dealt
But life goes on

I am human,I am hurting
I will not hide
I will attend
to every memory
Due respect and love showing

I don't want to be embittered
Have loved so much
Memories make it dearer
I would cherish it
Though tears be clearer

No guilt, no regrets
No apologies, no if only
No but also, tears have cleansed them all
No pretense, Nothing fake

I'll be honest
Will take time to grieve
Let the grieve flow
May shout it out at times
May she silent tears many times
May only sigh and moan all the time
Let me do it my way
For everyone grieves differently

After tears of pain
Dawns the reality
That the loss is
Not for a day, or two
It's for longer and we
Don't know for how long

Beyond tears of pain,loss and grief
Cries turn into lament
Full of anguish
It's fine to lament
We are but humans
Lament bridges
Pain and Promise
Pain of sorts and
Promise of God's goodness

Beyond Tears and cries
We lament coz we trust God
Our lamentations are
Prayers and petitions
Painful emotions roller coaster
From "God is good all the time"
To "where are you God" to " Gawwwd"

Lament is no pit stop
But a path
In the journey, from
Pain to Promise
Brokenness to hope
Plea to praise

Pioneering steps
New start, fresh thoughts
What Joy it fills our hearts
with gratitude.

Not able to be all-together
Absence of loved ones
Losing good time
Caught in pressures of the world
Heart-wrenching moments

Reminisces of God's promises
Assurance of God's goodness
Warmth of His unfailing love
Sufficiency of His abundant grace
Our anchor hope of Life

Phew!! What a roller-coaster ride, this day has been..
We are but human Lord!!
Failed you, dint acknowledge you all the time
But
Thank you for being there
all the time.
Unfailing Loving Father!!

God sees your tears
Collects them in bottle
Records in a book

Beyond tears
Unutterable sorrow
Engulfed agony
Weakned heart
Legs shaken
Spine shivering
Wrecking brains
Pain unbearable

Unseen by others
Not hidden from God
Precious in His sight
Answered with solace
