I feel numb, I feel lost in this world of known strangers
They pretend to be allies, but then I am aware of the dangers
Days are passing and I haven't been aware of the time
It's moving really fast, day starts and then immediately it's bedtime
I miss my independence, I don't know If I have come far or behind
It's been a while since I saw the rains, the sky and felt the winds
I miss spending time with family, also the homely food
I used to be really sweet but now with so many things on my mind I act rude
I am more responsible, but I miss my friends, the fun
Those Old friends used to be my escape, here I feel I have none.

One sided love gets it price
You step into darkness but still feel there's light
All the smiles you gave them, suddenly return in the form of tears
It's your own mistake, no blaming please b'coz no one cares
You were the only one who cared
Don't want to lose that person? I know you are scared !
No hard feelings but cliche, same story again
I am so happy that you are so selfless, no complaints
You let that person go, because It was in the best interest
That was hard right? You are such a tough man, I am impressed
It's not the world it used to be, It's difficult for good people to sink in
But don't worry, I know you will wake up tomorrow morning and face the world with a grin.

When everyone is sleeping, I stay awake
I don't know why, mind turns opaque
People usually misunderstand me a lot
What they think of me as a person, trust me I am not
I am ordinary but not so ordinary at the same time
Like a beach on the mountain which you swim and then climb
I am honest, I don't like to lie
I have turned tears into pearls, I don't let people cry
Mostly you will stay happy if you are my friend
I don't ask anyone for money, but a little time to spend.

I don't know but something is not right
In the dark somewhere I have lost my light
I try to be happy, But I know I am not
You will always see me smiling, cracking jokes and whatnot
But that inner peace is missing, I am on the urge of a breakdown
I can't express it to anyone, sometimes I feel like a clown
Always make everyone happy, but still they don't care
It's okay because I can't change, anyway life has ever been fair ?

It's easy to say that you are not doing right
But you don't know the dark behind, you just see the white
You can cry over small things, small stuff
But you won't understand the baggage of others, maybe they just need a hug
People talk about mental health but they just talk
Hardly anyone cares, they see their benefit and walk
A little love from your end, It's not really much
But It is something which can change someone's life, a heart you can touch
Sometimes It's not easy my friend to even survive
It's really difficult to come out of the dark and revive.

Maybe you are just influenced by impure minds
Every person in your life comes for a reason
Either they stay or they just come and go like the seasons
Maybe you were like this rain which just started to shower
And suddenly It was gone, didn't even last for an hour
I felt a tickle, a little love in my soul
And now even in the dark light, I could see my goal
This was something magical which I could only feel
This rain could wipe my tears, which no medicine could heal
I wish it comes again and I get a chance to preserve it
I feel a new zeal within, now I don't want to quit.

It's sad to see the concept of love fading away
It has become so temporary that It starts at one night and ends the next day
It's even harder to beleive If It is a truth or a lie
Many people say they love you, but then make you cry
Some people feel too much, and some don't
For some It's fun, but for others It's hard to be alone
Those who are in love for real, I hope It stays forever
You are really blessed, otherwise people today are very clever.

Sometimes the pain is because of someone, for whom you can't complain
I know you have seen a lot of bad days
The bad one causes the suffering, but the good one repays
I know you have even thought of quitting and dying
It will do no good but might create pain for others, so stop crying
I know it's the most difficult thing to stand up again on your own
But let's stay strong and fight, the toughest wars are fought alone.
