Is a fluttering colourful wonder
well past middle age
Bringing beauty and vigour
to the whole world
Maybe there's a lesson learnt here
Maybe our time is still coming
Maybe all those years
of jittery nerves
and being in the dark is
for the grand finale
To fly high with outstretched wings
To give a violent burst of colours  
To emerge in our most beautiful form
A butterfly is indeed a symbol of hope
A sign that the best is yet to come

for being the shoulder to lean on,
for silently urging me to go forward,
for being a wonderful sister

To forever stick to schedules?
To be ruled by timetables?

Why isn't it OK,
To bend the rules a little?
To be spontaneous?
To do when and what the heart sings?

Don't we want the thrill,
The rush, the energy, the joy,

And doing something ecstatic?

At least once in a while,
