🔰 Chaupai #1: Surrender Before Strength

🌸 चौपाई:
“बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके, सुमिरौं पवनकुमार।
बल बुद्धि विद्या देहु मोहिं, हरहु कलेस विकार॥”

🕯️ Meaning:
O Hanuman, knowing myself weak and dull-minded, I remember you — bless me with strength, intelligence, and knowledge, and remove my sorrows and impurities.

🔍 Insight:
This is a seeker’s first step — not action, not pride, but surrender. When we stop pretending to be all-knowing and instead invoke grace, real transformation begins.

🌿 Life Message:
There’s a sacred power in admitting, “I need help.” This chaupai is not about weakness — it’s about awakening. It reminds us that no matter how strong or capable we think we are, divine strength is always greater. When we let go of ego and humbly remember the higher force — symbolized by Hanuman — we open ourselves to true inner power. Whether you’re facing a challenge at work, a storm in the family, or restlessness within, pause and call upon your higher self with sincerity. That is where clarity begins, strength flows in, and the burden starts to lift. The real hero is not the one who never falls, but the one who knows when to kneel and whom to remember.

I do not consider this as ISOLATION/Lockdown having to stay home with whom we love.
*Isolation is what the seriously ill are experiencing in hospital.*
Stop saying that you r bored, upset that u can't leave the house; *while everyone in the hospital wants to go home.*
So, thank God if U have to stay at home, because despite everything, with money or without money, with a job or without a job, *U r in the best place U could be, at home, surrounded by who loves U!*

Perhaps it is time to transform ur house into a wonderful place to stay, *a place of peace and not of war, of embrace and not of distance.*
Anyway, look with different eyes at the situation u r experiencing !!
*Make your house a party:* Listen to music, sing, dance.
*Make ur house a temple:* Pray, pray, meditate, ask, thank, praise, plead .
*Make ur home a school:* Read, write, draw, paint, study, learn, teach .
*Make ur house a store:* Clean, order, organize, decorate, label, move, sell, donate .
*Make ur house a restaurant:* cook, eat, try, create recipes, grow spices, plant a garden .
Anyway
*make ur house, ur family, a place of love.*"
Make the best possible use of *once-in-a-lifetime* opportunity.

Cowasji Jehangir building for Elphinstone College in Mumbai (Bombay).

The building shown in this view is the main hall of the college and was endowed by Sir Cowasji Jehangir (1812-1878), a local Parsi merchant and philanthropist after whom the hall is named. It is built in the neo-gothic architectural style and has several striking features.

Elphinstone College is an institution of higher education affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Established in 1856, it is one of the oldest colleges of the University of Mumbai. It was exalted as a prestigious seat of learning during the British Raj and is generally observed for its vibrant alumni. It is reputed for producing several luminaries like Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Pherozshah Mehta, and Jamshedji Tata.

Oyster Rock is an island in the Mumbai Harbour near Sassoon Dock. It is fortified, and owned by the Indian Navy. It is a showcase cum remnant of mighty British Navy of old times.
Sir Bartle Frere, who became Governor of Bombay in 1860 carried out vast schemes of drainage, reclamation, improvement of water-supply and public works in island city. The island's defences had been thrown forward by the erection of defence works on Oyster Rock, the Middle Ground Shoal, and cross island, and batteries at Malabar Point, Mahalakshmi and Colaba.
in English rule era, every time when the Admiral of The Fleet sails out in with the Naval fleet, a guard of honour with a 21 gun salute is conducted on this island with sailors standing on the entire perimeter of the island.

Government had thought of anchoring the decommissioned INS Vikrant (now a naval museum) on this island.
In 2008, the Mumbai Port Trust proposed to set up an International Cruise Terminal at Oyster Rock, with estimated cost of Rs1,844 crore. However, in 2009, the Indian Navy refused to grant permission citing security concerns in the aftermath of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Central Bank of India, Main Branch , Mumbai .

Located opposite Bombay House, the headquarters of the Tata conglomerate, the Gothic-style Central Bank of India building was built around 1911.l, and ... it’s a heritage building.

Apart from the building’s architectural value, the bank that functions from the premises was closely linked to the freedom struggle. When it was set up in 1911, the bank was one of the first commercial banks that was wholly owned and managed by Indians. It was founded by Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala and its first chairman was Sir Pherozesha Mehta, one of the prominent figures in the freedom movement...

In 2010 stamp dedicated to Sorabji Pochkhanawala was issued to celebrate 100th anniversary of the Central Bank of India.

अशरीर्ँ शरीरेष्वनवस्थेष्ववस्थिम् ।

महान्तं विभुमात्मानं मत्वा धीरो न शोचति ।। 1.2.22 ।।

Once having beheld the Atman who is bodilessly
present in all bodies, who is stable, and in every process of transformation without undergoing any transformation, the wise grieves not and rises into rapture.” Just as breaking a pot does not break the space within it, the conditions that affect the body do not affect the Atman. When the pot moves, the space within does not move, nor is it destroyed.
The Atman is present in all bodies, unaffected and
unchanging. The bold, heroic and fortunate one who has known Him is the highest being and has no sorrow. Stage by stage we are taken from world- consciousness to that of hiranyagarbha, and finally to consciousness of the Absolute.

हन्ता चेन्मन्यते हन्तु्ँ हतश्चेन्मन्यते हतम् ।

उभौ तौ न विजानीतो नाय्ँ हन्ति न हन्यते ।। 1.2.19 ।

This Atman is extremely subtle. It cannot be slain by the sword. Ignorant people think that this body is the Atman and identify the Soul with the body. If the slayer thinks ‘I slay’ mistaking the body for the Soul, if the slain thinks ‘I am slain,’ then both of them do not know their Atman. Both of them are ignorant. It (the Soul) does not slay, nor is It slain.

Verses 18 and 1.2.19।। occur in Bhagavad-Gita II-1.2.19।। & 20 with slight alteration. Gita contains the essence of the Upanishads.
