They might pay you in some wrong way to vote for them ; but having a wrong government in place and having wrong people occupying serious positions in government, you pay it with your life and freedom -

a) with your life by living in constant fear of undue harassment by law enforcement agencies, like police etc. ; and

b) with your freedom by losing civil liberties, particularly freedom of speech and expression.

a flower of grief with a bruise;

her rhythm and different blues.

People stay quiet and simply watch for too long, hoping for the best.

Meanwhile, the threat from a demagogue goes on spreading, becoming bigger and uglier every day that goes by.

It’s now time for decent people everywhere to say- No More !

There's no virtue in this kind of silence. It's cowardice.
