A POEM FOR MOTHERS DAY!

My mother, my pride.
She corrects my wrong with love
And intentionally makes me strong
Through her wise, comforting words.
Everyday, I think about your person
You are Incomparable!
A perfect guide
Precious gift - from God to me.
She taught me beyond mere words,
To go on my knees and talk to God first daily:
I watched her right from my young age,
Consistently perform that rite- both day and night.

She's best in lots of care
Also best in shedding a tear
When all is not alright.
Her hope is God;
She leads us to Him.
She's a great teacher!
A wonderful partner.
My mother is a spec!
Virtuous and more!
An epitome of peace and bliss,
Joy, goodness, humility and order.
And above all, she's God's Masterpiece.
Everyday is your day!
I love you mum!

A father figure,
Indeed, a Pastor and more!
What a blessed day it was and still is for the earth
As we celebrate your birth!
Dear Daddy,
Thank you for yielding and saying yes - to Jesus:
Even though you weren't fully ready then.
You're an amazing wonder to many nations,
A light and salt impacting many generations.

On this special day,
We, your children,
Gladly thank God for you.
And we pray that you live longer,
Climb higher, shine brighter and grow bigger
In the God of your salvation.
Your family is so blessed.
Notwithstanding, the Church of God is graced
To have you - a wonderful spiritual father;
May more miracles be done by God through you.
Abba anoints you greatly.

A NEW NIGERIA (2)

The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain.
The youths have reawakened
And there's also a revival - an unrepentant one!
Dear Nigerians,
An egg is about to hatch.
We await the outcome;
We believe it would be our best yet.

Our voices are heard at last!
We are -
The future of this great West African lane.
We have prayed, but won't stop.
We have voted, but still watch.
Above all, we lift up our hearts, voices and hopes,
Towards God in Heaven.
He has promised to make a way in the deserts:
Offering us sumptuous desserts,
As we journey in the next four years.
We live our dream;
The New Nigeria is here!
Walk it, talk it speak it, work it.

THE NEW NIGERIA

We were taught about election - free and fair;
When we heard, the entire class hoped beyond evident despair,
That when it got to our turn to cast our desired votes
Things would be already right then.
Little did we know:
Behind the scenes,
Someone was planning to reap where he didn't sow.

We loved, and cheered, and hailed,
The times we heard those fake promises
Which were only mere hypothesis - theories.
Afterwards, there were only little or no practicality;
Sadly,
Tribalism, racism, religious clashes and so much but a few, came to play.
Until the voice of reasoning emerged today!
